The course delivered by the association for PE, will link elements of the following: The National picture, personalised learning/Every Child Matters, the characteristics of assessment for learning, opportunity for shared practice, ideas/strategies for assessment for learning, implications for teaching and learning, implications for monitoring, recording and reporting, and the potential impact on learning.

Basketball Fundamentals Course

This practical course will assist curriculum and out of hours delivery of basketball and invasion games. The course will be delivered by local development officers and will provide practical ideas for developing skills and enthusiasm through basketball fundamentals. This course is suitable for primary and special needs schools.

Primary Athletics Course

This course will be focused on the elevating athletics teaching resource. Each participant will receive a resource and practical ideas for developing athletics within the curriculum and through informal activity. Elements of outdoor and indoor athletics will be included. This course is suitable for coaches and teachers involve in delivering athletics.

Education Outside the Classroom Course

Education outside the classroom, is an area of the curriculum that many schools struggle to develop. Emma Flaherty from Links will bring this subject to life and demonstrate how with limited space and resources your students can explore problem solving and the outdoors. This course is suitable for KS1 and 2 and all special needs schools. Activities will be practical and will include a range of practical options easily delivered on a school site.

GymnasticsA full day course focused on developing primary teachers confidence in delivering gymnastics. This course aims to answer questions relating to health and safety, progression, and the development of core gymnastic skills. The course will provide resources and activities that are relevant to both KS1/2, and will develop teachers confidence in using basic gymnastic equipment.
