Links offer a range of coaching services to schools. As an organisation we pride ourselves on the quality of our coaches and our commitment to developing a quality coaching workforce for Sheffield schools. The Links Coaching Team are specifically trained for the school environment and their expertise in integrating specific sports with the national PE curriculum are key to creating a service which best suits your school and extended community.
What do Links offer:
Reliability and Confidence - Links School Sports Coaches are deployed with the following minimum operating standards:
A current CRB and valid qualifications in First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting Children.
All coaches are qualified to a nationally recognised safe standard, to work independently with students.
Coaches receive mentored support from the Links Coach Manager and all schools are encouraged to provide regular feedback on coaching skills and quality as part of our thorough quality assurance process.
Sessions will be appropriately planned and many of our coaches have experience of working with children with special needs.
All coaches will provide information for students on local community clubs and are insured through a recruitment agency providing cover up to £5 million.
Programmes are flexible and can be developed to suit schools specific needs.
Costings
OPTION ONE:
Six 1 hour coach led sessions. £150, which can include:
- Breakfast club
- Lunchtime Activity
- Young Leader Training
- Curriculum Support
- After School Clubs
- Activity Days (6hr block)
OPTION TWO:
Six 4 hour coach led sessions. £500, which could include:
- Lunchtime session, followed by 2 curriculum
sessions and an after school club
- Festivals
OPTION THREE:
A sports coach for one day a week throughout the year to work within your school delivering a range of activities and lessons. £4000.
- Cost effective PPA cover
- Coaching will be over a high quality and particular emphasis will be placed on consistency of coaching staff to establish relationships.
- Coaching will reflect expectations outlined in the schools curriculum map and feedback on pupils attainment and performance will be provided.
